USE INSTRUCTIONS
DESCRIPTION: Set of radiographic positioners, adult size, adapted to obtain periapical radiographs during endodontic treatment.
COMPOSITION: Polycarbonate, polyacetal, silicone and non-toxic pigment.
INDICATION: Indicated to assist in the performance of periapical radiographs with the use of a digital radiographic sensor during the transoperative period of endodontic treatments.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: To obtain periapical radiographs during endodontic treatment of posterior teeth:
- Select the radiographic positioner according to the tooth group to be radiographed;
- Assemble the radiographic positioner by fitting the guide ring to the nail and the bite device close to the image receptor bracket;
- Select the radiographic sensor attachment according to your digital radiographic system and attach the attachment to the digital sensor in a horizontal position;
- Attach the fastener-sensor assembly to the image receiver bracket;
- Bring the positioner to the patient’s mouth, positioning the digital sensor so that it is centered on the tooth group to be radiographed;
- Ask the patient to bite the bite device to keep the positioner stable;
- Align the X-ray machine cylinder to the radiographic positioner guide ring.
To obtain periapical radiographs during endodontic treatment of anterior teeth:
- Select a radiographic positioner without the bite device (rod with image receptor support and guidance ring);
- Select the radiographic sensor attachment according to your digital radiographic system and attach the attachment to the digital sensor in an upright position;
- Attach the fastener-sensor assembly to the image receiver bracket;
- Bring the positioner to the patient’s mouth, positioning the digital sensor so that it is centered on the tooth group to be radiographed;
- Ask the patient to keep the mouth open and stabilize the positioner through the rod with the hand support;
- Align the X-ray machine cylinder to the radiographic positioner guide ring.
Note: This Kit contains 18 (eighteen) fixing devices with different dimensions to adapt to the different digital sensors available on the market. The expectation is that up to two fasteners are compatible with the sensor, one fastener to couple the digital sensor in the vertical position and another fastener to couple the digital sensor in the horizontal position.
